My mother and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful, family-owned motor inn , on Shore Parkway, near Caesar’s Bay in South Brooklyn. From Day 1, the wonderful sweetheart at the front-desk was warm, welcoming, extremely intelligent, and a pleasure to meet. With a smile on her face, she completed the necessary documents, accepted payment (Credit Card, then Cash payment), never missing a beat, and having a pleasant eye-to-eye conversation with us Staff & Security were diverse and always helpful, and kind.
The Harbor Motor Inn is a nice 2 floor property, reminiscent in style of a Spanish Hacienda or Italian Villa. There is plenty of free parking for customers, and the marvelous security team regularly performs checks in the parking area. There’s is also a handy back door for drivers parking in the garage to conveniently enter the inn from the back, between 8AM and 4PM. There are many security camera on the property. I expect these are not needed given the lay out of the inn which places the front desk at the bottle neck for entry and exit. The front desk is never sleeping on the job. In the large, studio-style rooms, you’ll find a super comfortable Queen-sized bed, with bed-side night stands on either side of the bed, with a classic lamp on each. The lamps have built in USB-A & USB-B Ports that are refreshingly inconspicuous. On either side of the bed are 2 electrical outlets, and additional outlets at the window wall. In front of the bed are flat screen Television, mounted on the wall but conveniently angled down 16-20° so guests can watch Direct TV comfortably from bed. Beneath the large TV is a nicely sized writing desk. There are 2 comfortable chairs in the room , also. Behind the bed is a large wall -sized mirror that makes the room feel doubly roomy, and allow you to watch while facing away from it. On the side of the room opposite the window and frigid AC is a marble or granite top dining table that can easily accommodate 3 people.. Near the metal door entrance to the room is a nicely sized restroom with full bathtub and wash sink.
The shower works perfectly and the water clean. There is also a large mirror mounted on the wall just above the sink. Near the entrance to the room is a nice wall mounted landline, which outside calls are routed to by the front desk. The phone can also be used ask the front desk to order food from outside for delivery. Also, there are plenty of coat hangers near the phone. Finally, there are numerous vending machines and soft drink machines. Filtered water flows freely and is as tasty as bottled water. The water machine also is and endless source of ice, dispensed into the complimentary plastic ice bins. I have been to 3 star, 4 star, 5 star hotels in my days, but there is something unique to such family owned and operated businesses that can never be found in franchise or larger corporate hotels. A special thanks to the Norwegian-American Young young lady. The owner is also kind, and allowed us to stay more than the maximum 10 Days allowed. Last, there is free WiFi, password posted in the room. Finally, another thanks is due to the maintenance , cleaning staff, and the special security staff. The experience was A+ all around, and prices are very competitive.
Ok in a few polite words, ” it’s basically a room with a bedroom and a bathroom. It’s ok for a nights sleep. Unfortunately if you want get something to eat, you can either drive a few minutes away or walk a small distance 10 to 15 away minutes from the local Chinese or pizza or Wendy’s.
The rooms are Very clean and the staffing is very friendly.
People super cool and nice it’s safe convenient

My wife and I have stayed at your establishment several times and would like to say just how much we enjoyed the privacy and services. Especially on our last visit this past May.
The Shore Parkway Jewish Center’s Board of Trustees wants to thank you for your continued courtesy that you have extended to us during our High Holy Days. Your continued generosity has enabled us to continue to maintain our synagogue.
Your Motel has a lovely, clean and comfortable atmosphere. Our Guests have been very happy…
Nice and comfy place – well maintained – great location
Back again. They even made changes. They now have directv that’s awesome. Friendly as always. Clean and quiet. Great rates. I have never had any problems. If I had to recommend a place it would be here.
I would like to tell you thanks for being extremely nice hosts. Your hotel is a delightful place to spend a night at and your desk clerks do their very best to be obliging and accommodating. I do have one complaint though, the crossword puzzle in the free newspaper that you provide is a brain buster, could you please try to alleviate the problem.

I was looking for a room to meet my girlfriend and stay overnight in all those travel websites like Trivago, Travelocity, Expedia etc and could not find anything affordable. It all changed when my friends have recommended me Harbor Motor Inn. It is very affordable with slightly higher rates on weekends stay. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. They have basic cable TV and WIFI available. The only disadvantage I found that you can’t book it over the phone or their website in advance and it is on first come first served basis. You can though make reservations through travel web sites with almost doubled price. But once you stayed here once you can easily arrange it for your next stay.
I have had prior stays at your facility and found it clean, affordable, and convienient and I have an upcoming evening out planned . . . You can be sure that I’ll be there soon.
Very nice stay .. Air conditioner is very cold .. Very comfortable place to stay worth your money ..
The staff is courteous and I am always pleased with my stay here. As a long time customer, I can highly recommend the Harbor Motor Inn.
The Harbor Motor Inn in Brooklyn is clean, comfortable and very affordable. I recommend it to anyone. Easy to get to the city by train. Thank you.
Your motel was one of the best values I have encountered on my travels. Very clean and comfortable.
My husband and I went to Brooklyn to visit my Aunt Mary and her family. Because we weren’t going to be in our motel room very much, we wanted a clean, affordable, quiet place to stay. It was in a nice location, conveniently close to places we needed to go and not far from my aunt’s place. We’re planning another trip back this summer and will definitely stay at Harbor Motor Inn. I almost forgot to mention how kind and helpful the manager was. Thanks for having such a great place to stay for weary travelers.
We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our recent (5 night) stay at Harbor Motor Inn. Our room was impressively clean and each (and every) staff person we encountered during our stay was friendly, kind, and helpful.
Staying here doing Disaster work for Hurricane Sandy. Clean room, pleasant staff, safe surroundings, centrally located, easy access, and most importantly, a Manager named Ann who is a very caring and helpful individual. I give this place five stars for Ann’s existence. Thanx for having me.
I recently stayed there due to Hurricane Sandy. The extra friendly staff coulde not have done anything more to make my parents and I comfortable. Every need was met. The rooms are clean and comfortable aws well. Ann and her staff were absolutely wonderful during thisx very trying time. Cant thank them enough for all they did!!!!
Just wanted to say Thank You . Ann at your hotel was so very helpful to us. We needed to come into town soon after Sandy because my Mom passed away and could not find a room anywhere, someone gave us the name of you hotel and Ann found us a room and call us and took very good care of us. Nice to have good employees who worry about you patrons. Thanks Ann
When I was in need of a room, Ann came to my rescue. She secured me a room and gave me great peace of mind that I can be housed in secure comfort.
Clean! Reasonable rates. Good management. Convenient. Highly recommended.
Had a great stay!Thanks!
MOTEL ROOMS ARE VERY AND GREAT SHOWERS CLEAN, MANAGER GOES OUT OF HER WAY TO HELP WITH ANY NEEDS. IF EVER BACK IN BROOKLYN I WILL STAY AGAIN
Wow What can I say, I ws deployed here for hurricane sandy and needed a place to stay. another inspector told me where he was staying. so i went by and check to see if they had any rooms. well they were full of course, so asked to be put on the list, and they did. but there were about 20 people ahead of me. so i was hoping to get a room soon. Anne the owner says that someone needed a person to share. Anne quickly draged me into the office and calleed the guy the she found some to share. How many people do you know that would take the time to do that. anne went way out of her way to reach out to the people that were here to help her neighbors. goof timing for me…… Anne from all of us Thank you so much for taking care of our needs as well. all my best, CJW
Now that I am back home settled in Texas I just had to take a moment to thank all of the staff at HMI. Anne went out of her way to create a Thanksgiving spread for all of the disaster workers staying HMI. Colleen was an awesome clerk who always was on top of things. Isoif the security guard always had a wonderful smile to greet us with and Scott was always on patrol doing a wonderful job keeping our vehicles and us safe and sound. Thank you for being our home away from home and God Bless each of you!
Anne and the staff go above and beyond the call of duty to accomodate their guests. if your travels take you to Brooklyn, stay in this comfortable, clean, affordable and friendly place, Thanks Anne.
I went to this place for a few time .the place is ok ,but the service is very bad, first I ask for 4 hours room after I filled the form I ask the front desk to change an overnight room , the front dest woman very meant said u said 4 hours right ? I said yes but can I change to overnight ? The skinny woman very meant
This hotel is very clean and the staff is great especially the front desk
I stayed overnight and found the room to be very clean and quiet. Ann was very kind to secure me a room and the front desk clerk, Maria, was very friendly and helpful. The location was convenient and safe and I liked parking in a lot as opposed to on the street. I will definitely stay at the Harbor Motor Inn again.
My daughter, grandkids stayed for a 2nd time a week ago. My 4 yr. old grandson left his Nintendo in the room. After a week he finally told me and I called Ann and she checked and found that the maid had found his game system and it was left at the front desk. Went yesterday and picked it up. I’ve been to other more upscale hotels around the state and no way, no how would I ever have gotten it back after 1 day let alone more than a week later. Again thanks to Ann and her honest staff. Still can’t beat the price for a room here in NYC.
I’ve been visiting friends and family in Brooklyn this week. A friend told me about the Harbor Motor Inn and encouraged me to try it. I am SO GLAD I did. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels from the very top of the line to the very bottom of the barrel. This place is not the Ritz, as the furniture and building itself is slightly dated. However, this is probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever been in. Honestly, everything here is spotless! The staff have been exceptionally kind to me. My hunch is that these folks get their fair share of idiot customers, so a little appreciation from their customers goes a long way here. The hotel has a great security staff, which makes me, as an older tourist, feel quite safe. There is also plenty of free parking. The rate here can’t be beat. This place is amazing!
