My mother and I had the pleasure of staying

My mother and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful, family-owned motor inn , on Shore Parkway, near Caesar’s Bay in South Brooklyn. From Day 1, the wonderful sweetheart at the front-desk was warm, welcoming, extremely intelligent, and a pleasure to meet. With a smile on her face, she completed the necessary documents, accepted payment (Credit Card, then Cash payment), never missing a beat, and having a pleasant eye-to-eye conversation with us Staff & Security were diverse and always helpful, and kind. The Harbor Motor Inn is a nice 2 floor property, reminiscent in style of a Spanish Hacienda or Italian Villa. There is plenty of free parking for customers, and the marvelous security team regularly performs checks in the parking area. There’s is also a handy back door for drivers parking in the garage to conveniently enter the inn from the back, between 8AM and 4PM. There are many security camera on the property. I expect these are not needed given the lay out of the inn which places the front desk at the bottle neck for entry and exit. The front desk is never sleeping on the job. In the large, studio-style rooms, you’ll find a super comfortable Queen-sized bed, with bed-side night stands on either side of the bed, with a classic lamp on each. The lamps have built in USB-A & USB-B Ports that are refreshingly inconspicuous. On either side of the bed are 2 electrical outlets, and additional outlets at the window wall. In front of the bed are flat screen Television, mounted on the wall but conveniently angled down 16-20° so guests can watch Direct TV comfortably from bed. Beneath the large TV is a nicely sized writing desk. There are 2 comfortable chairs in the room , also. Behind the bed is a large wall -sized mirror that makes the room feel doubly roomy, and allow you to watch while facing away from it. On the side of the room opposite the window and frigid AC is a marble or granite top dining table that can easily accommodate 3 people.. Near the metal door entrance to the room is a nicely sized restroom with full bathtub and wash sink. The shower works perfectly and the water clean. There is also a large mirror mounted on the wall just above the sink. Near the entrance to the room is a nice wall mounted landline, which outside calls are routed to by the front desk. The phone can also be used ask the front desk to order food from outside for delivery. Also, there are plenty of coat hangers near the phone. Finally, there are numerous vending machines and soft drink machines. Filtered water flows freely and is as tasty as bottled water. The water machine also is and endless source of ice, dispensed into the complimentary plastic ice bins. I have been to 3 star, 4 star, 5 star hotels in my days, but there is something unique to such family owned and operated businesses that can never be found in franchise or larger corporate hotels. A special thanks to the Norwegian-American Young young lady. The owner is also kind, and allowed us to stay more than the maximum 10 Days allowed. Last, there is free WiFi, password posted in the room. Finally, another thanks is due to the maintenance , cleaning staff, and the special security staff. The experience was A+ all around, and prices are very competitive.
